Do ghost shrimp fight one another? Are they cannibalistic?
Do they shed?

I found something at the bottom of my tank that I'm convinced is a shrimp shell. They're all accounted for (though I was looking for one for a while), so none of them are dead...

it's probably just a molt. they shed their skin as they get bigger.

lol no your not, I did not know this either. :) there is noever a stupid question..... unless your playing the stupid question game :)

:grinyes: It's a molt.

It is a molt. That is a good sign. Ghost Shrimp is a generic term for many species of shrimp that are clear and appear to be the same species. The most common is the American Glass Shrimp, and they can be semi aggressive at times! More often than not, there will be no injuries to any animal due to their aggression.

yes it will be a shed skin....the only stupid questions are the ones that arnt asked.
