Erm, would anyone like to calculate dosing for smaller tanks for me? My brain is broken. I'm not just lazy. It's broken. The smallest is 2.5 gallon, then 3 gallons, then 5 gallons. I guess I can half the 10 gallon dose for the 5 gallon tanks and half that for the 2 and the 2.5 gallons? And just do a 10 gallon dose for my new 12 gallon?
Sounds good to me. But then again I dose by scooping out of a 1 gallon bag with a KFC spoon. For the smaller tanks I just scoop less. :-D
The key here to remember is this is not rocket science. In the quantities we are talking here...portions of teaspoons...you aren't going to throw water chemistry out of whack enough to kill fish. If you are dosing enough to see increased and noticable growth, then there is most likely excess nutrients in the water column. No one gets it "just right" were all the nutrient is gone right before the next batch is added.
The most important thing to keep up on when dosing is your water changes. Keep them regular and keep them significant. That way, if you do get a build up of one nutrient, it won't reach an out of control level. Just like with fish wastes, those regular water changes reset the tank.

i noticed her taking it out of the fridge. she just grabbed a bottle of stuff. never got opened. never got near her sniffer. the fact that she'd reach for it was more than enough for me.
yes. will be fine... at much higher doses. your calculations thus far are well above and beyond the technical nature that's necessary.
