I'll be working with my arm in the tank ('cuz you know, I've got a vision) and one of my two Angels will bite me. Never fails lately. I'm working away, I forget about him, and--he strikes.

I know he's not biting to "attack" me. He just associates me with food, and when it's not forthcoming, I think he just decides to give the intruding arm a try. I don't mean to sound like a whimp but it actually kind of stings. And it always takes me by surprise. Probably more startling than anything. Oh well, I still like him. :dive:

sometimes I'll put my fingers into the water to mess with my mbunas... I think they know its me but still try just in case they can get a taste. Plus it looks like they enjoy the fun and attention. Doesn't sting or anything, but if they get a little bigger I wouldnt be surprised if they draw blood

About a month ago was doing some trimming of the plants in my Angel tank; one of the Angels kept nipping me.

Seems they had spawned on the plant I was trimming!

Postponed the trimming for a week....

I don't think MOST of these fish can produce a "bite" that stings. I have a oscar that nips at me from time to time, but it never really feels like much. It does get annoying sometimes because when your in the tank, your trying to get something done and their all in the way. lol

I had an old friend, mr. 7 fingers, who used to hand feed his piranhas.

LOL J/K

my goldfish try to eat my fingers all the time....

Pretty much everytime I put my hand in the tank, I'll get a nip or two!! They all like to nip at me!!
