What company was the live rock ordered from?

What did you order?

How did the price compare to other places?

How long ago was it?

Would you buy from the company again?

I have just been talking about my new rocks nonstop lately!

What has been your best online live rock purchase experience? Only had 1, but it was tampabaysaltwater.com and I'm really enjoying the rocks. Got tons of extra critters and macro algaes, the rocks are covered in life and hitchhikers, cup corals, tunicates, sponge, pods, etc.

What company was the live rock ordered from? tampabaysaltwater.com

What did you order? 30 pounds of live rock and 2 pounds of live sand (for my fuge)

How did the price compare to other places? 5.00 a pound, but ordering "the package" can be cheaper. For getting rock that actually is very much ALIVE, the price was great, IMO.

How long ago was it? 1 week ago

Would you buy from the company again?
I can't wait to!

I have bought from two different places. The first was I believe Marine Depot (I think, it was a long, long time ago, 5 yrs I think). I got 50# of nice rock. Looked like lots of nice stuff came on it, unfortunately I was in the shower and never heard them knock so I didn't get the package until the next day and overnight the temp dropped below freezing. Everything was dead on the rocks:wall:. I also ordered 50# from petsolutions 4 yrs ago. This rock was less than impressive and didn't seem to have many critters with it. I was a little dissappointed, but the rock was still cheaper and nicer than the lfs at the time. I would not buy rock from them again.

I bought rock from ebay from mrmarine http://cgi.ebay.com/FIJI-LIVE-ROCK-...yZ117437QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem about two months ago and the rock was really nice. It wasn't as nice as the stuff I got from my lfs, but it only came out to about $2.80 a pound with shipping compared to the $9.00 at the store. They say it comes precured, but I put it in a rubbermaid container and had a cycle that lasted about 4-5 days and then everything leveled out so I put it in my display. As long as your not too far from Florida, where the rock is located, and it can get to you in 2 to 3 days it is worth checking them out.
