does anyone here know of a good online store that sells star fish? please not live aquaria
-thanks:spam:

Have you tried MarineDepotLive.com? They have a fairly good selection of stars.
After hearing about my friend's recent experience with LiveAquaria and FedEx on a live fish/coral order, I don't blame you for not be fond of LiveAquaria.

care to tell us what those experiences where? lol

im just trying to find a site where s&h isnt a *****. like marine depot and live aquaria

Any place that's shipping live animals, the shipping is going to be fairly expensive. The boxes are relatively heavy because they're full of water, and they usually require overnight which is also pretty pricy.

If you want to order fish, but don't want to pay shipping, most LFSs can order special fish with their regular weekly orders. Most will even keep them right in the bag and call you when they arrive for you to come get them.

I ordered a fish from petsolutions and my S&H happened to be free, but I don't know where the cut-off is.

yea, but why do the have to charge so much for shipping? i once had a large amount of fish shipped to me and it was only $14 and the fish were healthy when i got them, but some sites are charging $30+...

Our friend ordered from LiveAquaria recently, only to have 1 of the 2 boxes of the shipment get stuck in Indy because "they didn't have anyone to unload the plane due to being short staffed." Strange that FedEx would admit to that, but I guess it's better than lieing. That box of livestock died, but credit was given by LiveAquaria. The replacement box arrived late, despite it being given a priority delivery designation (meaning it was suppose to arrive before noon), and didn't arrive until almost 4pm. One of the bags in the replacement broke open during shipping, soaking the box, and the coral in the bag was almost completely out of the water. LiveAquaria has been really nice to them, constantly giving credit for the damaged goods, but it just seems incredibly wasteful and a big inconvenience to place an order for livestock only to require replacements to be shipped not once, but twice now (they're shipping another replacement for the coral that was in the bag that broke open).
