Okay, my 37 gallon has 2 fish and a few corals with live rock. They do fine. My 2 cleaner shrimp died a while back. Then my snails all died. Turned out I was overusing a buffer. Now everything is within a good range (water parameters) but both my emerald crabs died. Granted one was huge and therefore probably old, but the other one just died after a one month stay in my tank. What gives?!?! Any suggestions?

My salinity is .25
PH is 8.3
Ammonia and nitrites and trates are zero.
Calcium is good also, as is KH.
I've added an iron supplement in preparation for shrimp to aid with shedding (they both died after shedding their shells) but now I'm thinking to stop adding any inverts!

First thing is first, stop adding ANY additives...There should not really be a need to in your tank with just a few corals..What are your specific results for calcium, alk and mag?

Oh I stopped a couple of months ago and add nothing now. My calcium is bet. 420-460 and KH is at 12. I am not sure of the number for mag., but I had it tested (and all other parameters) at my LFS and all looked good.

No -- but how would copper be in there? I am using a Berlin method, doing weekly water changes and using two power jets and just an HOB with nothing for extra flow.
