Last night I went to a LFS and got a third cory for my tank... or so I thought. The lady accidently gave me an Upsidedown cat that looked like a cory instead (which is good in a money sense, the cories were $2.50 and the upsidedown cats were $7.50). Will my upsidedown cat outgrow my 10 gallon or pick on my:
Male Betta
Female Betta
Cories x2
Pleco (soon to be relocated to a 75 gallon)?

Would it school with my Cories, or would I have to buy another cory since they like to be in groups of 3+?

I dont think it will school with your cories

Wont' you just bring it back to the LFS and return it for some cories?

I think most LFS are nice enough to correct their wrongs.

my lfs did the EXACT same thing! and mine didn't even look like a cory, and yes they will out grow a 10 gallon and eventually my 30 gal. those things can get to be like a foot long! right now mines about 3 inches long, but was only about 1inch when i got it. (its such a good deal that i wouldn't tell them that you only paied $2.50 when you return it, with the extra $ you might want to get 2 more cories!)

if you dont return it id put it in your 75, they are great (better than cories) at keeping the bottom of the tank clean, but are solitary critters
