I have a female 4in opaline in a 120g and a male 2in opaline in a Livebearer 55g tank. I'm downsizing and the only place to put the male is in with the female, but she hated him last time and chased him out of the old 55g tank. He survived a horrible beating and fall, so I kept him. But now idkwtf to do with him.....What's the smallest tank size they can be in? Any way to get her to like him? When I got him, he was a tiny 1IN, but she still hated him....

The 10 would work in the short term, but I personally think a 20 gallon long would be perfectly fine as a permanent home for him and even some small dither fish.

He might do OK with the female this time, though...being so small could have really turned her off. Personally, I'd bag the female, remove her from the tank, move stuff around in the tank if possible (if your tank has real plants this isn't always an option), and then plop her in 1 hour after he has been there (I'd do a day or two later if the snail tank has good water parameters - you could put her in there). Sometimes, if a fish has claimed a tank as their personal territory, this remove, rearrange, and put the new guy in for a bit before hand really helps.
