The cat under the log is a redtail cat I believe....They get huge....he may try and eat your other fish when he gets a bit larger....

Nice tank Quazy....I would add plants along the back....but since the oscar doesn't approve of that...lol...I guess you're stuck with it as it is. I don't think it looks too bad. I like the way you setup the driftwood and rocks.

Yeah...those redtail cats....can get up to about half the length of your tank Qwazy...just to let you know...and they'll eat ANYTHING that will fit in thier mouths......so.....I don't know how fond you are of those oscars...lol...but I'd keep an eye on them... :D ;)

Here's a pic of a redtail that ate a 5" piece of quartz.....the guy who owned it thought it was a tumour, but then he noticed his rock was missing. He said the fish never lost it's appitite !! They cough up anything that they can't digest, so the fella overfed it some minnows till it gave back the rock....lol...(beautiful fish !!)

omg .did you see those guys hand fishing 80 pound catfish out of the banks of rivers. I had no idea they get as big as a mans torso.they can kill you too .when hand fishing they go in teams & it's a contravercial sport as they ussualy wind up going for females who have fry or are pregnant, but theres agruments for both sides.

As far as the tank deco goes, I would add some more driftwood, and I wood also make the subsrtater a little more shapely. Put a few rises and falls into it. That way it won't look so flat. You could also get some river rocks and place around the driftwood so that you have a better color contrast between the substrate and driftwood. Thats what I would do if I was to change anything, but I really think your tank looks fine the way it is, but then again I don't have to live with it :).
