I have a 60gal corner tank it's roughly 32" on the sides and 43" across the front i was looking at putting an oscar or two in it? would this be enough room? also if so would there be any fish that would make suitable companions preferably something like a pleco to help with clean up of the thank? any general comments about oscar's are always welcome Thanks so much.

Matt

no it's forms a triangle that goes into a corner there are two sides that are roughly 32" long and then across the diagonal it's about 43"

you can get away with 1 oscar, i wouldnt add a common pleco due to its size, also dont add a pleco for clean up, they are the opposite. they produce alot of waste and dont really clean anything.

You could put a JD or Firemouth in there along with some dither fish, maybe giant danios. I would stay away from the pleco, there are other catfish that will feed off the bottom and not grow as large, syno cats work good.

I like the sound of a Firemouth with a Red Tiger Oscar.

a 60 gallon "corner" tank has nowhere near the surface area of a standard 60 and in my opinion, isn't large enough for an oscar at all. JD's and firemouths yes.

It's about 50 sq in less than a std 55, a tight load for sure.
