i dont use fake stuff , you can get some mopani drift wood that looks like that stump of yours

Try them both for awhile... move 'em around and see what you like best... No matter what you do you can save any extra pieces and try them again some other time.

Do your fish have a preference? Mine totally loved the real driftwood while it was in the tank, I can't wait to put it back in (needs to continue soaking for a while longer.)

I personally like the darker color of the real driftwood.

I have both in my tank and I think you should go with whatever makes your fish and you happy.
