Oranda w/ dropsy

My mom's oranda has dropsy for the second time. We said goodbye to him the last time but he actually pulled through. What do you guys use for dropsy?

dropsy is very hard to treat because it is not really a disease, but a symptom of many diseases/conditions.

yeah i know. thats why we said goodbye to him last time but i did warn my mom that it prolly would come back and kill him another time. He's so bloated. poor baby

can i use the epsom salt and do an antibacterial food at the same time?

What are your mother water change and maintenance habits? Poor water quality is usually one of the main causes of this so it may be helpful for her to increase her WC's and filtration.

Sorry to hear about it, petluvr. Dropsy questions are really hard to answer, which I suspect is why you didn't get an answer in time. Without a diagnosis on the cause, it's really difficult to say what would treat the problem.
