"Orange Bee Shrimp"

Dang msjinkzd, you are one helpful person!:headbang2:

That pic looks like a Neocaridina shrimp to me Bettagurl, like an orange cherry shrimp. The planetinverts link shows what look to me like Cairdina shrimp...a Tiger shrimp actually. True "Bee" shrimp are Caridina species. Unfortunately like so many other things, names are often not correct. That's not necessarily the sellers fault since there are so many different species, many that are similar in appearance even though they are not in the same family. And of course, I could be wrong :eek3:

yup not a lot of info about them. i have three but only two are orange the other is grayish/white. im waiting for my lfs to get their shipment in and will likely take the lot. they said today but nope. none are saddled so likely they're all males. hope yours breed.

there are too many darn shrimps out there but i guess i'll have to add a shrimp room after my fish room dream.

thanks. that petshrimp thread is a bit disappointing to read when it says they likely will only produce in SW. but i do have one shrimp that has that "wild" color.

I've seen an orange variety of Cherries before and these look just the same! If so they should reproduce in fw.

Which LFS did you pick these guys up at? I live right around the corner and may be interested in these guys.

Stereokills> i can only hope. lol.

yonsu> around the corner from Hampton Virginia? or Sacramento California?

if your in Sac Exotic Aquarium and FishPlanet.

although i checked tues 10/23 and Exotic didnt get their shipment and FishPlanet had one left in a nano tank at the cash register counter. im not sure if they got their shipment in on tues. i doubt it since i assume they get the same shrimp from the same dealer.
