Ok, my rock is in, my cycle is starting, so im on to my next adventure, the CuC.

I know I can begin slowly around halfway through the cycle, but I was wondering what peoples suggestions were for a CuC(I like to plan ahead). My tank is as follows

10g display
5g fuge, also highly visible
10,000k 65W light over the 10g, soon will have 6700k over the fuge
cycling

Now my question is what would make a good CuC for this tank? I know I want an emerald crab, and at some point I would love a star, but I dont know if I have the right conditions to care for one.

Anyway, suggestions please :)

sorry, was refering to a Clean up Crew(Hehe, I like abreviations)

certainly would not put a star in, just my opnion mind you...

start of small with something like 5 snails and 5 hermits..watch them, and see how they get on..if you need to add more, then do so...There is no fixed rule as to how many you should have as i dont believe its down to gallonage, its down to the ammount of algae that needs cleaning...

Yeah, I thought that a 10g could be a problem for a star. Ah well, maybe the next tank :)

I agree with Niko. There is no fixed number you need. When I start up new tanks, I usually put in few at a time, periodically see how clean the rocks and sands are kept before adding more. Adding too many can starve them.

solid point, at this point I am trying to figure out the best critters, since critters are a lot of fun for me.
