ordering computer vent!

I used to work for HP (I left on good terms), and now all of their manufacturing (except for business customization) is done through a contract manufacturer (Foxconn). Orders are commonly lost at the site, but one of my friends who is stuck overseeing their process, is trying to fix the problem (only seems to be a problem for customized machines). Definitly escalate the issue to an HP manager, and I wouldn't take "oh I'm sorry" for an answer.

Oh, I believe I will be "shouting" pretty good by the time I get to talk to this person (hopefully I can understand him)..it's really hard to get my point across when after everything he say's I'm like huh?? It wasn't just the accent I have problems with (I'm usually pretty good with that) you could barely hear what he was saying, that made it even worse! I don't see why I would have to send the entire set up back it seems to make more since to send the tower back and they can fix what shouldn't of been wrong in the first place, what else worries me now is what if they didn't add the memory and other upgrades they were suppose to.
I am really considering telling them to just take it all back, refund me my money and order from Dell or someplace else. Guess I'll just wait and see how things go when I get this phone call.

Thanks for letting me vent!!

Does you no good (now), but this sort of thing is the reason I tend to go to places like mwave & newegg and order parts & put my own PCs together. They tend to be a lot faster for the $ than the HP/Dell/Gateway etc. offerings.

If you're interested in learning a lot about what to buy, check out the forums associated w/ any very demanding online game. Those guys all build their own systems and regularly critique each others' component choices and swap pricing information.

If in the end I do not get what I want, I may just get the full refund and take you up on that!!! That is what I was going to do in the first place then I decided to just order one!!!
