I have a tiger oscar that doesnt really like to eat the pellets I give him. I seen that they need different kinds of food. What other kinds do you suggest? I do have bloodworms but those are more for treats. The same oscar I think might be sick. He does have some white spots underneath of his belly. Is this ich? If so what do you suggest would help get rid of it. I have already turn the temp up to around 83-84 degrees. Please help my 3 month old oscar!!

How about crickets and worms? I know my O loves them both. How big are the spots? A pic would help.

Would you mind giving water parameters and tank size, and such. That would probably help some.

I will have to get some.. what kind of worms? dew worms? I heard vegetables also. Have you ever tried that? Well I am currently working on the pic. The spots are about the size of the tip of a pencil.

When I had oscars I used to thaw raw shrimp (i.e. kind you buy at grocery store) and tear off tiny pieces. They would eat it out of my hand. I also would use some cheap saltwater fish (i.e. ocean perch) and alternate it. My fish loved it.

I have a 60 gallon tank. What do you mean by water parameters?
Ammonia,Nitrite, and Nitrate. Water tests are very important to the health of your fish. Get a good test kit and test your water.

Thanks Big Mike I will get right on that. I am noticing now that my oscar has a couple of white spots on his fins... I am 95 percent sure this is ich. What do I do to treat it? I have heard salt but what kind of salt? What do you suggest?

Aquarium salt. I have never used the salt for ich,but i know alot of people do. I would get ich meds and be sure to remove any carbon from your filter when you medicate.
