no, they don't stay little long. i would go 75g minimum for a single oscar for life.

Oscars grow 1-2" a month until they get to 14-16" so a small oscar would out grow a 20g in 3-4 months.

Yep its fine for a small Oscar - for a few months. They just do not stay small is all. As per the posts above 75G is considered reasonable for an Oscar for life.
