Wow! That is one ugly fish! I dont want one!

Your nice! and ewwwwwwwwwwww that horse is U-G-L-Y! where did u get it I sure don't want one!

I'm guessing this will be moved but... 75 gallon not even a 75 gallon tall is not really big enough for two full grown oscars.. the 75 will make a fine grow out tank but be prepared to buy the 100 gallon in a couple months.. I've had mine for a few months, bought them a 1" , and one of them is 7" already.. And I've had them for maybe 5 months at the most. I have them in a grow out tank now but I need to get them in a 100 gallon+ like now, personally I don't want to risk stunting their growth.

On another note there is more to feeding goldfish then just "feeding goldfish".. In fact feeders aren't even the best thing for oscars. One thing you have to consider when feeding goldfish is the cost, dependcy on getting good quality fish on a set schedule so you don't run out, and the fact that if you don't know how to spot a sick goldfish you'll be introducing sickness to your fish at some point which will lead to a sick oscar...

I have friends with pirahna's and so I know how hard it is to find quality(un-sick) goldfish I usually go with them in search to tons of stores. If you want something that will fit in a 75 gallon and eat tons of goldfish on a regular basis get a pirahna.

If you still want oscars and get a big enough tank I would reccomend 2 emporers, that's what I use but I'm sure everyone has their favorite.

this thread has been a great way to start the morning. . . thanks cyberbeer.

I agree. You will eventually need a bigger tank. I have 2 oscars in a 75g tank and they will be going into a 125g very soon. Mine was also about an inch long when I got them in may. Now they are 5 and 6 inches long. I will see if I can upload you a picture.

Not sure if they are in the same family, but I can tell you that jaguar cichlids are NOT the way to go!! My friend has 2 in a 55g and it is obvious that they need ALOT more space! Good luck, let us know what you get!!

beautiful albines mrs dorothy, thats what i was thinking of getting...found a sale on a 110 gallon-custom building the stand and hood myself with a Q tank and feeder breeder integrated in the stand, should be fun.

Yeah i was going to integrate a 10 or 15G in the new stand and breed some feeders, guppies mabye, but i need carontines to keep the O's red, whats good-homebred goldfish mabye?
