I have two oscars in a 55 gallon and I do fed them alot probably at least 2 times a day with no fasting day and feeding mostly cichilid sticks and dried krill. My question is that they have some rather large fecal matter floating around in there sometimes, does anyone else with oscars have this problem?

Nevermind, I searched and there seems to be no solution.. Guess I'll just have to keep scooping the poop.

I have had success feeding adult oscars once a day...with one or two days off a week.....they really aren't overly active fish relatively speaking and will do fine with less food....of course, a lot of filtration and water changes are still needed....

i had the same prop.my oscar gets fed twice a day.3 fish and 2 blocks.i do a 25% water change once a weeek and cleen my filter every second day it is seeming to keep the tank clean now but sometimes there is still stuff floating around
