oscars

even in a tank as large as a 125 that would not work. barbs and gouramis can not go with oscars!!!!

:OT: (sort of) Just for clarification, in a large tank, Much much larger than 20g I have had great success with blue gourami's and oscars living together. The reputation of Oscars being aggressive is largely undeserved, and usually a sign of small tanks and less than adequate care. Blue gourami's and most larger gourami's will fend for themselves quite well, and get along with an oscar no problem. I don't think a cherry barb gets large enough to be safe around an adult Oscar.

I agree. Given a large space, Oscars are not aggressive at all. Heck in my 100 gallon tank right now I have a 7" dempsey with a pair of 5" angel and six 3" clown loach and there is no aggression between anyone.

I agree dave, with the mix in my tank I get no agression from the oscars, and I am quite surprised? Well feed em good and keep the tank clean and every one should be Ok when mixing fish with oscars as long as they dont fit in their mouth.
