Nah, I've been to all those sites. I thought you met you knew of some other rainbow tanks set up in Germany.

By the way, not Glossolepsis incisius, but Glossolepsis PSEUDOincisius it's a NEW rainbow!

Some of us do try to provide a natural environment for our fish...it sounds like fihskeeping has evolved to a higher art form over there. Maybe you can give us some new ideas.

I try to give my fish a home that's as natural looking as possible with plenty of hiding places. If I gotta use artificial plants, I'm going to try to make it look as good as I can. Really, the driftwood and rocks 'make' the aquascape in my opinion...the plastic plants add brightness and color to an otherwise very dark looking tank.(black gravel/background, driftwood, grey rocks). The Salvinis, with their bright yellow base color, red bellies, black stripes and turquoise spots really look awesome against the black gravel and background. I wish I could get some good quality pics of them, but they get really spooked if I get too close to the glass with the camera. They are really beautiful when in their breeding colors and are 'showing' and 'posing' for each other.

Are there any real plants in there at all?

Geez, if you can do that with plastic, I can image how you would plant real ones.

lol...yeah the 1st pic I posted is my current setup...all artificial plants. The second pic is the same tank a few years ago with all live plants (lowlight 1.5wpg):)
I'm guessing you were looking at the 1st pic?
