oto not in good shape?

Hi,

I have a problem with my otocinclus. I bought algae food for it but the two other fish always eat it before he can touch it.

Tonight I made sure that the food was very near my oto, he seemed to taste it but went back to sucking the leaves of a fake plant.

I had this oto about one month ago and he seemed pretty active, but for a couple of days now he often just lay on his stomach and doesn't move a lot. Also I think he's changing color. It's weird because he was looking very good and he has growned a little.

My water parameters are good, 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite (it's fully cycled)

I hate to say this, but those goldfish are going to outgrow that tank, and fast, too. to keep both of them like you have them now together you'd need a 55 gallon tank. i reccomend getting rid of them or getting a bigger tank very soon or you could start having ammonia problems. also, ottos shoud not be housed with goldfish due to the fact that goldfish completely out-compete them for food. what you should do is return your goldfish, and re-stock something like this:
3 more otos(otos do best in groups, so you should get him some friends)
a betta or a dwarf gourami or possibly a german ram. (chiclid)
a school of either six neon tetras, glowlight tetras, dwarf rasboras, harlequin rasboras, or zebra danios.
and maybe an apple snail.

Thats kinda mean advice! Although it's understandable.. Petitpoisson, how soon are you gonna get the 25g tank? If it's soon, he could do some mix and matching with the bigger tank.. right?

That seems liek it would extremly over stock it. Are you saying get ALL of those, or "here is what you should choose from" Kinda confusin

1x betta/dwarf gourmi/ram
6x schooling fish
maybe 1 x apple snail

I was like hold on! someon said i coudlnt put a dwarf gorumi in with my 6 neons. and your telling him to put all that!
