As the topic states. My cories are outcompeting my otos in getting food. I've placed algae pellets on plants and the cories would move them and so far it seems that only the cories have been getting all the food (cus they're fat!!!) while the otos are looking less than happy.

Are there ways of feeding the otos without having their food stolen by the cories?

Thanks in advanced.

IME, ottos prefer algae on glass or zucchini over algae wafers. As long as you have some algae on the glass in your tank, the ottos will do well. If not leave your lights on an extra hour or so.

I agree, otos really only do well in planted tanks where there is a natural source of food for them. I rarely ever see my otos eat anything I provide for the other fish, yet they've been perfectly healthy for over 2 years.
