What do I feed my otocinclus whe all my brown diatomes and algae are gone? They don't seem to be interested in flake food.

I have had great success with my Otos eating "Vegetable Flake" food from www.kensfish.com. It has a wide range of green vegetables in the ingredients.

thanks everyone, and thanks hollygirl for the photos. sorry about the duplicate post, I'm not too savvy when it comes to posting ( and computers in general) I tried to delete the second post, but could'nt do it.

I've had difficulty getting Otos on a prepared diet too, you may have to give them away. You could try some Zucchini or other vegetables, other possibilities would be food algae wafers.

I have seen my ottos eat from sinking wafer, but I leave the algae on the sides and back of the tank alone so that they have an algae supply.

My otos will eat algae wafers if there's nothing else, but they prefer cucumber

Besides fresh zucchini, which they get 2 or 3 times a week, my ottos like spirulina pellets and Hikari algae wafers. They also like an occasional fresh spinach leaf. Good luck.
