My one oto is so fat, I'm worried (s)he might not be able to eat very well... No pics (camera is mad at me for some reason), but it's about 1.2" long and 1/3" wide looking from above, maybe a bit more. It's stomach is around 1/3" tall, too. Could this prevent it from eating, like the belly of a female cory can prevent the head from laying on the ground? Is she(?) pregnant? Soon I'll pick up maybe 3 more. Thanks everyone,

Nothing at all; It just eats algae, and sucks on the wood, glass, coconuts, plants... It just looks extremely fat...

I have a very fat Oto as well. In fact I thought "she" was pregnant, but "she" has bene like this for almost 6 months...???

I recently fed peas, and I'm pretty sure I saw her(?) down there chasing/eating one.

does the oto just sit on the bottom or is it able to stick to the glass?

I have 2 otots, one kind of small and normal looking and the other is freaking huge. I too thought maybe it was pregnant but no babies. Still acts normal and doesn't act sick.

It stays mainly on the driftwood and sand, but I'd say 30-40% of the time it's on the glass.
