I picked up a baby Oto from my LFS, but ever since I put him in the tank, he won't stop swimming around the tank like mad. He'd go from bottom to top and side to side within a second... I dropped a piece of blanched cucumber, and he just swims passes it but doesn't seem interested. Is this normal?

Perfectly normal.

Are they always like that? Or only when they're introduced to a new environment?

My Ottos were very much like that. They often were seen latching onto the side of the tank, being very still, then they'd dart super fast to another spot and so on.

I think it's their nature.

Otos are very active and always on the move. They will stop to eat but even that isn't exactly what I call stopping. :)

Can someone ID my oto too please?

Yes, any more I'd be overstocked I think. Either way, I'm not going to buy or return anymore fish lol, it's such a big hassle.

These are the best I can get. The Oto won't stop moving, so I can't get a high quality picture.
