How can you tell the difference from a male and female otocinclus catfish?
I've got two and I was just curious. I've read that the female is fatter than the male.
How long does it usually take for them to get full grown? Mine look like about an inch big.

The otos I've had the longest are about 1.25" I have seen no growth from them in over 6 months. The eat algae and nothing else so they grow slow. The only way you will ever tell what sex they are is if they ever mate.

My oldest one is full grown now at about 2" and the other two are about an inch and a quarter or so. They're all fat and happy. Their genders are a complete mystery to me.

i have 3 now, and theyre all boys. why? because i said so, and thats the closest thing i can get to really telling. ;)

No clue what mine are, but I am inclined to believe it's 2 girls and 1 boy since two of them are roughly the same size and the third is noticably smaller.

oh ok. I was just wondering. I've got two right now and I'm thinking of getting one or two more.
