Otocinclus or SAE?

After reading how neat they are on AC, I went to the lfs and asked for a couple otocinclus. They sold me a couple but after I got home I am not 100% sure they are otos. Can anyone help ID them?

Yup, that is Otocinclus affinis.

Definitely otos. They look just like mine, though I thought mine looked more like O. vestitus than O. affinis.

If your tank doesn't have a good amount of algae for them (food), be sure to supplement with some zucchini slices.

- Otos are lots smaller than SAEs, lots cheaper and (in the long run), much harder working (pound for pound).

Thanks! They are in a ten gallon quarantine tank with quite a bit of brown algae and in a couple of weeks will be going in my 29g planted which has green algae and BBA (I doubt they will eat the bba from what I have read.) I will be sure to feed them a softened zuchini slice now and then. My lfs doesn't have a large selection of fish so I was pretty excited to find they had otos.
