Been trying to figure out where my new otos are hiding...

Turns out one of my Blue Acaras has been eating the little guys. Caught her with an oto tail sticking out of her mouth last night. I guess they need to be isolated until they get bigger.

most ottos only get to about 1-2 inches long so might just not be able to have them with the acara at all

Big fish + little bite size fish = big fish snacks. Otos never get much bigger than 2 inches at most. Acaras, even females, can grow big enough to eat otos. Do the math...

Sometimes, if you have enough plants & hiding places, your otos, or some of them, may get lucky...for a while... Just not a good combo.
