nobody has mentioned that they don't eat green algae. They only really go after brown algae, wafers, lettuce, etc.

I actually didn't know that. But I never tried a single otto as algea control. I usually have a pleco, otto and/or CAE...along with other bottom feeders. I lump them all into my "cleaning crew" list. Then I of course have whatever 'centerpiece' fish.
