Our House Renovation Has Begun and It Will Include 2 Walls With Built In Tanks

See Hans, I do work occasionally! I got the bottom 125 cleaned today and the guys put it in place. We got the white gravel substrate in and it is now filled and some of the wood has been put in place. My husband also replaced our kitchen sub-floor today. Yeah, one step closer! Tomorrow I will run a mag 350 with the micron cartridge to make sure the water is clear and get the water to temperature for the discus. Then hopefully Thursday they get moved. Walls for the kids' bedrooms get started tomorrow.

That's the spirit! You are one lucky lady getting a house build around your fishtanks! Keep up the work, it looks fantastic.
What are your plans with the floor? Looks like decent wood to me. I'd run over with a sanding machine, polish it and put a clear coat or a very light stain on it...

Thanks, yeah I am a lucky lady that he is doing this for me.

We put tile down in the entry way. Other than that, we have oak hardwood floors that we are putting in through out. The floor you see is just plywood.

Its awesome to have followed your progress from the start, and its been going very quickly. what a good man you have there to be right onto it and not slacking off :)
Looking fantastic.
How do you access the tanks though, I might have missed the post, but dont see an access point for getting into the tanks.

Oak floors, awesome...my parents have the same, can imagine how it will look...
Good luck with finishing everything in the coming weeks.

Thanks, The access is on the other side of the wall. There is an opening of about 9" above each tank that will have door access panels. The filters will be below on the other side with the same.

looks good, ive always wanted to do this myself but just never had the courage or know how.

Thank you.
