In my 75 gallon tank I have been battling BBA for a while now. I have decided to try killing it of using Flourish Exell on a 2 week dosing schedule. I am just not sure how many ml's per day to dose. Has anyone tried this method before? How many ml's for a 75 gallon tank?

Get an oral syringe at a pharmacy, and shoot the excel directly on the BBA for a week or so.

how heavily planted is your tank? you can dose more excel if your tank has more plants.
like coach-z said. turn off your filters so that there is no circulation around your tank. and then use the syringe and very gently apply it to the affected areas. if you look you can see it come out and dissapate in the water. that high concentration of excel that sits around the bba for a couple minutes just overdoses that area untill it dissapates or you turn your filter back on and circulate it around the tank.

you can use h2o2 but your plants will use the excel, not h2o2. and the overall goal is plant health with minimal algae, right?

I would say the tank in medium planted. Here's some pictures.

What's the lighting, and are you dosing ferts or Excel now?

just turn off your filters and spot treat. should work fine.

do you run co2? how often and how big are your water changes?

That looks just like the problem I'm having, only yours isn't as bad as mine is yet.

Excel dosed regularly did NOTHING to help mine. And I don't like over dosing stuff. Dipping mine in h2o2 worked ok, but I can't be taking large pieces of driftwood with java ferns tied to them out of my tank weekly and dipping them. Just don' t have time

That's why I'm going to pressurized co2. ;)
