cold water and tropicals dont mix, so you have two species that dont go togther. i would get a 55 for the goldfish, and maybe a 29 or 30 for the mollys ( if you want more, if not. then a 20 should do for the two )

OVerstocked for sure, you just missed the Petco $1 sale too, start looking for cheap tanks on craigslist or I think petco has 29 gallon aqueon kit on sale for $70, tank, light, filter, heater.

Thanks. My older sister just wanted the two fantails to be friends, because Pumpkin used to be hers.

No offense - but it doesn't sound like this is a serious attempt at fishkeeping, guys.

If you have money and a vehicle, it's a good idea to look at used setups because they're such a bargain (or they can be, anyway). However if you are depending on your parents, well...most parents don't see a reason to spend $200 on a $2 fish, nor are they thrilled to go to strangers' houses in search of such.

I would just re-home the goldfish to start off with...goldfish are not easy fish, and require a lot of care and BIG tanks. Big tanks = $$$$

You were over stocked to start with, why'd you go get more fish?

at least a 10g for the two molly's and glowlight another 10g for the molly fry to start off

They got more fish since because they hadn't done their research...

Are ALL those fish currently in a 5 gallon tank? That's just cruel, be sure you are doing large, daily water changes until you get new tanks. You'll need two, one for the goldfish, and one for the tropicals. You might be able to get by with a 29 for the two goldfish, with frequent partial water changes and double filtration, BUT don't add a single fish in with them.
