Hey guys I was just wanting to make a quick post and see what you guys think about adding more fish to my tank. It is a 20gal with no real plants, and has a AC 30 on it right now. It has been set up for 6 months and currently has 5 black skirted tetras, 6 glowlight tetras, 1 full grown male guppy, and about 3 baby guppies (still a couple months away from getting released with all the other fish). What I was thinking of adding were some smaller type fish such as 5 or so Zebra Danios or maybe even Blue Tetras. What do you think do I have the room?
Thanks for the help.

Adding 5 Danios sounds like too much to me. Sounds to me like you could use a smaller end centerpiece fish though. Though, at the moment no great suggestions come to mind. Anyone got any ideas?

IMO you have some more room in there. I would add some bottom level fish, like corys 4-6 or so of a smaller species. Or a centerpiece like a dwarf gourami or a male betta. You already have plenty of mid level swimmers IMO

I agree with ChrisK. I would add 5 or so cories to the bottom there. I'd skip the Gourami.

Ok Ya I was actually thinking of a dwarf gourami when I was at the store the other day. That may work, I will also look at the bottom feeders too. Is there any special care for them, also what species would you guys suggest for my tank. The more hardy the better seeing as I am just a beginner.

Peppered, or schwartzs corys would work well in your tank. I feed mine shrimp pellets, and algae wafers.

It depends on your maintenance. If you can clean your tank weekly with 40-50% PWC, I think you may add some more.

If your tank is 20H, I'd like to add 4-6 small corys.
If your tank is 20L, I'd lie to increase more tetras to 7 black skirted tetras, 7 glowlight tetras.
