overstocked? (Revised)

[EDIT] new question, see below. thanks! [/EDIT]

I have a 44 gallon pentagonal tank with 25 fish (see below) and a handful of plants. The tank is finally starting to look filled out and I wanted to see what yall thought.

Fish:
1 Moonlight Gourami
1 Pearl Gourami
1 Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami
2 Red Sunset Blue Dwarf Gouramis
3 male Golden Wonders
2 female Golden Wonders
1 Apistogramma borrelli Dwarf Cichlid
1 Burmese Border Botia
3 Corys, not sure of the sp.
6 Harliquin Rasboras
2 male Diamond Rainbowfish
2 female Diamond Rainbowfish

Any thoughts or suggestions? if it is not overcrowded, what would you recommend?

okay... new question: If I was to relocate a fish or fishes, which ones do you think it should be. At the momment the best I have is a temporary 10 gallon, although I could get a regular 10 and stock it and all. I've been thinking the Powder Blue and the Red Sunset Blues, although being labrinyth fish they might try to kill each other. any suggestions?

If all you have is a ten then I would move the Rasbora's and possibly the borelli. You could probably throw the powder blue in there as well. I am not familiar with a diamond rainbow.

[EDIT] just occured to me a better answer to your question might be as a rule would they get along. for that, I'm honestly not sure. I haven't had much experience with cichlids (Goober is my first in fact) and have only recently gotten back into the hobby of aquarium fish after many years absense. Just making an educated quess, I would think it might vary a little by the species and size of the cichlid. You may have more luck posting your question as a thread here or in the cichlid forum. good luck with your new tank! [/EDIT]

Yes and no. The cichlid rarely messes with the two larger gouramis but can be very territorial with the red dwarfs and recenlty with the powder blue. Part of it I think has to do with size - both of the red dwarfs are about the same size as the cichlid and the powder blue is the smallest of the other three gouramis. The cichlid has never had problems with any of the other fish (just the gouramis) and can be quite tolerant of everyone at times (including the gouramis). This said, I have noticed a lot of darting and chasing coming from all of the fish which was partly what led me to ask if I was overstocked.

I think ideally if I could relocate the two reds and the power blue that might help things, but I don't know if they would all agree with each other in a 10 gallon. If I was to do that I'd probably have to set up a new tank because my existing 10 was really only meant as a nursery tank for plants and doesn't have very good filtration or anything like that. At the momment I am constrained by the size of my appartment and my overall budget, but definently plan to expand this summer after my lease expires and (hopefully) I find a new place. At that point I'm planning to buy a large tank for the moonlight, a plec, and lots of plants (and some other fish).
