Hi, I have had 2 black mollies for about a month in a 10 gallon filtered tank with an airstone. My question is, since the filter does a really good job of constantly agitating the water, can I take the air stone out? I want to use it for another tank because it seems unneeded in this aquarium, but I wanted to make sure and get another opinion.

Thanks!

yup, you should be just fine. just watch to make sure your fish don't start gasping at the surface (but I don't think you should have that problem, from your description). if they do, go ahead and put the airstone back in.

I only put on the airstone during darkness when plants need it the most. During day time when they need C02, the airstone goes off. I use power heads to make currents under and above the water of my tank.
