Pacu Problems

Can't wait to see it!
Would love a speciallially designed tank one day. Reckon when I'm a millionaire I might do what they've done in the London Aquarium and have a 4 storey tank that runs up through the centre of my house. 60,0000g will probably keep me happy for a while

...Filled with blue whales and great whites only of course.

would LOVE to see that tank as well!!! In exploring our options for a larger home for our red bellied pacu, i'd thought of a cylindrical floor to ceiling tank-saw one on ebay even, although not practical for the middle of the living room. We're destined to put a pool in the basement for our friend.........who by the way to above post: yes understood in the Amazon they are game fish, but I could eat our pacu as easily as I could eat any of our other pets.
The acquarium in Boston has a dedicated pacu tank...its massive and set up just like a jungle river environment.
Always looking to connect with people that have pacus..........we're a small lot. Perhaps we should form our own society

hi this is biba here i have a rb pacu had him for 2 years got him at 5 inches and he is now 26" and growing he also loves vegetables but also loves any other protein loves to be petted and is so friendly is bizarre am looking to rehome him i am in cornwall in uk and have him in 6 foot tank which is now getting too small would welcome any invites to rehome can travel

There was very sad post about a person having to put down their pacu as it was just far too large to handle anymore and a bigger tank was not an option. A very sad post indeed. These are definatley fish that should be sold and bought only by experts that have the ability to handle their size requirements.
