Paint for an underwater filter?

hey!

well, i am looking to paint the red lid of my peanut butter jar that i made into an underwater filter. are there any paints out there that are made for being underwater? i went to jo-ann crafts and looked at the paints, but alas, none of them said that the product could used underwater.

do you people use paint for underwater at all?

I would assume if you sealed it after painting it, it wouldn't matter. But I've only ever used paint on the exterior of a tank.

people, including myself, have used Krylon Fusion brand spray paint for underwater applications. Allow 24-48 hours of drying time before putting into tank.
