Paint

i recently found some tank decorations a medium sized castle and a light house but they are painted rather horribly. i would like to use them but i can not stand the colors. is there any kind of paint or what not that i can use on them that is aquarium safe? thanks

This is a tough one. Some have said (artist) acrylics are ok but I havent seen any hard proof.

I found out a few days ago that if paint is fading underwater it is most likely leeching also. If I find anything I'll post.
