I just came into possession of 2 Pakistan Rainboows for my community tank, assuming they arent too much different from any other rainbow they should be fine, however, I cant find any info online about them. Does anyone know any specifics or has anyone kept them before.

Im pretty happy about them, they are very cool looking fish who are very active.

Well, there is no such thing as a "Pakistan" rainbow, so that kinda knocks that out a bit.

Can you give us a description of the fish: color, size, etc.,?

Assuming you don't have any blue-eye species, the only name I can find that is even close to "Pakistan" is "Parkison's".

They are about 4 inches in length, with the front half of them in blue and the back half is a rust orange color. All of their fins have black tips.

I will try to get a pic of them up here at some point, they are one of the coolest looking rainbows I have never seen before. =)

Sounds like Parkinsons Rainbows to me.

close but not really, take all of that yellowish coloring and make it orange rust, plus the fins are all distinctly black and longer.

what a mystery.

on second thought, after reading the description, it sounds like the first fish described, just not the one pictured.

mystery solved! thnx guys!
