Fake Gars? Never heard of them. Give me a species name or something, or some site I can reference that is reputable. Many stores will sell "fake" gars in hopes of getting a sale. If it's a pike or any pike cichlid fish, you'll want at least 100 gallons per fish
 
Xenentodon cancila is the scientific name (thanks Spartan!) of the needlefish, which a system administrator on aquaticpredators.com (thanks Nuriel!) identified for me from a picture I took of them.
