Hey, I've been looking around but I havn't been able to find my info about this fish. I have been looking at the one on divers den and how much I really want it. -- http://liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+3&ddid=62742

Is there anything specifically hard about these or are they the same as other puffers?

Would it be okay in a 50 gallon with a fu man chu lion and maybe some type of wrasse or other fish?

Thanks alot for any help!

I can't say for certain, but I think that puffer would get along fine with a lion in a 50G. I would pick a wrasse wisely though... try not to get too agressive of a wrasse, like a Lunare Wrasse and not one so small that it would get eated by the lion, like a flasher wrasse. Something in the Halichoeres family would probably be good.

Those puffers are a bit timid compared to the larger species. If I am not mistaken the lion and the wrasse are more agressive. Need to be careful of that. The puffer's flesh is poisonous- if one bites him they could get sick or die. Have a solandri (related puffer species) that a goby attacked- goby acted funny for a few days- think it was sick. Have heard of other people losing Oscars in FW tanks that bit a FW puffer. Also you don't want to overstock the tank. I would go with one fish with the puffer to start, then add another if enough room.
