paranoid to buy new fish

Hey tomm long time no see
how's your tank going? I've had fairly good luck from LFS stores - i had just one incident when i made the mistake of buying from petsmart where something got into a QT tank and wiped out some fish - but i still shop at Lovely Pets in Quincy however lately his tanks have had a lot of ick -
sometimes i use Paradise Gardens in Whitman
but there's this old hole in the wall type place i knew about but didnt visit often in Weymouth called Pisces aquarium which by far and away has the best stock I've seen in a long while plus he's the only one I know of that actually quarantines his fish before selling them - they say they keep their fish outback for 3 days or so for observation before selling them - his tanks always look good - i actually havent bought fish for awhile except 2 weeks ago i grabbed a few kuhli's from this guy - they are in qt now and look great! you might want to check it out he has some cool stuff

Tropical Isle is a bit of a ride for me cause i live in the quincy area but i've been there once it is a great store prob the best in terms of size and variety -the staff seemed good too but i havent visited them enough to get a feel for the place - most times i just go browsing but i will keep them in mind - my tank is stocked to the max right now so i wont be buying for awhile but i think another trip to them will be coming up just to poke around n stuff!

LMB, totally forgot you live in Quincy so Tropic Isle is a drive for you. I know what you mean about Lovely Pets. The last time I was in there they had a lot of sick tanks.

My tanks are running fine lately except for my puffer tank which has been a hassle from day one :) But that's different, long story.

Tom
