Ok I am starting a new thread because the other one is long and may be confusing.
I have a 75 gallon tank, heavily planted with
8 rummynose
5 black phantom tetras
8 bronze cories
3 peacock gudgeons
1 bulldog pleco
1 dwarf platy. (three others in a 10 gallon are fine, I couldn't catch the last female in the tank)
It is pretty lightly stocked with fish at this point.
Parameters are 0-0-0, temp is 78 with normally weekly 50% water changes. I have been doing 50% twice a week though with whatever disease I am having to try to keep the water as pristine as possible.
So far I have lost one rummynose with a strange growth on its side, he turned white and just sort of wasted away, I pulled him and euthanized without treating with anything.
Then my Gold gourami went from vibrant and eating to clamped fins, excess slime coat, and long white stringy poop within the span of a week.
I decided it was likely parasites so I treated the entire tank with Jungle parasite clear. He got better for a few days and his poop returned to normal then he was found floating and gasping a few days ago.
I have one rummynose who is acting fine but has two raised scales on his side, there are no visible growths or worms though.
My female dwarf platy has been pregnant for what seems like forever, I tried to net her out yesterday to put with the others but couldn't catch her without causing undue stress.
This afternoon she looks like a pinecone, I am going to try to pull her out and give her an epsom salt soak. If that doesn't work I will euthanize. I don't know if it is related to the other problems or if she could be having problems due the pregnancy.
Everyone else seems fine, the cories are spawning like crazy and I have several fry in the tank.
I don't know what else to do at this point,I don't even know what the problem is...... maybe re-dose with the jungle, or try to find levimasole or fenbenazole flakes?
