Hey, Tom. I actually started my on-line life through a parenting forum:
www.conductdisorders.com

I really don't think you need to visit there . . . yet. It's great for anyone struggling with teen issues, ADHD, bipolar in children, Aspergers syndrome, etc.

My son has been diagnosed ADHD and ODD. I read every single book my library had to offer on parenting and was still completely clueless as to what to do with my son. The parents in the know were and continue to be an invaluable resource for me. They always have a trick or two up their sleeves.

I've gone here a lot. I have a 9yr old son, and even though the site is mostly for younger kids or babies, have found places to get help. Gotten some nice responses, and is a pretty big community.

good luck...

I signed up for babycenter.com when I found out I was pregnant, and still get parenting update emails from them once in a while... you get monthly ones when the baby is new though. There are also bulletin boards over there -- some good advice, must have good tuning out eyes though as there are a lot of crap posts and trolls at times (but then again, that's the way it is everywhere for the most part, right?) :)

My favourite is a Yahoo! Group with other women who had babies the same time I had my first child. Eight years later we're still a tight group. There may be a group on Yahoo! that might work for you.

I used to visit http://parenting.ivillage.com/ quite a bit. There are forums on almost any topic, and any parenting style there.

Also like http://mothering.com/

But it would depend on the type of parent you are and what kind of support you're looking for. In my town there are local online groups and forums too.
