i'm not quite sure what to do.. my blood parrot cichlid has laid eggs in my 75g community tank and she is protecting them fiercely, mostly from my full grown male silver dollar. she chases most of the fish away but she has this particular fish pinned in the corner of the tank (oddly enough she doesn't at all care about the hatchet fish being around). i have never had a fish lay eggs before so im not quite sure what to do..? should i removed them or let her be? how long will she protect them before she realizes there are no babies in there?

thanks!!!

I am not real sure about fish, but clucky chickens will sit on unfertilized eggs for about 24 days untill they go rotten and explode if they are ruptured
maby your fish will notice that that there is nothing forming in the eggs and probly eat them or just forget about them and try mating again.
