Just because BPs can't close their mouths(and actually, some can, depending on lineage and the mixed bag of traits due to hybridization), doesn't mean they can't bite the crap out of you/other fish. My yellow female has actually drawn blood and left teeth marks in my arm and my King Kong has nearly torn off the bottom lip of her mate.
I have had success keeping parrots with convicts, severums, a few stray African cichlids, an angel or two and even a black nasty(who's not very nasty ATM).
