so i been playing around with it tryint to figure out why its not pump out water. the Magnetic Impeller wasnt spining right. i think thats where the sound is coming from. i hope i can get this to work again.
Yep the impellor needs to be perfectly lined up or it will make noise. The other thing, and I do not have a fruval I have a magnum, but on mine the impellor is clipped on to the magnet and if those clips are broken then the impellor will not spin with the magnet. Good luck
Hagen is discontinuing that line of canisters, it may be tough to find parts. Call around, you may find a LFS that has them, and check eBay as well. If you can't find replacement parts, you may be able to find an entire canister for a really good price - I work(ed, just gave in my notice) at a LFS, we're selling off the old line for 60% off to make room for the new shipment.
