I got my pc lights in, and got them going. The blue lights that are in it, are blue, and not purple like actinics. Is this right? Do the blue pc lights, and actinics put off the same "blue" light spectrum? It seems funny looking to me now because I am so used to the color of the flouresence.

True actinic light looks very blue, in my experience. Are you sure that your PC light isn't actinic?

I bought a complete kit, they came with 2 10k whites, and 2 "actinics".

My actinic bulbs are not purple at all, they are blue. I bought the Coral Life actinic bulbs

The actinic Coral Life flouresence that I was runnning before where more of a violet than a blue. The pc lights are defenatly blue.

I was just wanting to make sure I did not get jacked around on what I bought. I bought these very cheap on Ebay. The bulbs are labeled 10k, and blue, not actinic. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the blue spectrum that I needed.

I am by no means an expert, but I have seen 4 or 5 different lighting setups with actinic blue, and none of them look anything like that? They are typically so bright that the blue looks a lot closer to white light then what's in your pictures. Even a cheapo $25 actinic blue NO bulb looks brighter than those shots.

I have seen coralife 50/50 look like what I think you mean. When you look at the blue straight on, it almost looks like a brilliant white. Almost like welding light. but the coralife actinics to me look purple.
