In my 44 gallon ( well 41-42 with all the stuff in it if that even matters)

3 platies
6 neons
1 kuhli loach ( will get more or get rid of him in somehow not killing him tho)
1 angelfish

What are some peaceful cichlids I can have and how many to my total number of fish, If they arent peaceful to the population of neons they are getting on my nerves since they just dont stop attacking eachother ( I know it is because there are chunks of fin missing)

a) I add one more angel
b) It stays how it is

Thanks guys!

I would add 4 kuhli loaches and maybe couple Bolivian Rams. The neons will more than likely become a nice snack for your angel eventually.
Agreed. You could get cockatoo dwarf cichlids or another apistograma if you dont mind having to lower your pH and check water quality frequently, as with rams.

You could add more platys too if you wanted.

pH isn't critical. TDS - or at least GH and KH which you can measure more easily - are far more important.

I have some juvie chanchto's available that would work, either a single or a pair. They max out at about the same size as convicts, but they're mellow enough to mix with curviceps. As mentioned above, the neons are lunch sooner or later if the angel stays. Same with most smaller tetras as well.

Keyholes, they stay small get cool colors and stay small

chocolate cichlids are quite peaceful except for when they are around their own kind. They are also beautiful. I keep mine with 4 diamond tetras in a 60 gallon tank. I assume he would do well with platies and the others you mentioned. He will get oscar sized, but not meaner.
